Youth Parliament

Youth Parliament are elected every 2 years (the next election is in 2020) and relies on schools taking part for the young people to get elected. It is free to get involved and doesn’t take too much staff time as we are aware of the time pressures already in schools. Every school has the opportunity to have 2 Youth Parliament candidates represent their school on the Youth Parliament cabinet through the election process.

Youth Parliament is a really beneficial scheme for the students that get involved and can provide benefits for other young people within your school as this is a great way to engage students with the Political process and to get their voices heard in changes to their local communities.

If you want to find out more or want to be notified when the next election process is taking place please click the link below and email your details to Simon Bailey.

Educational Workshops

We are able to offer some workshops/assemblies based on democracy and UK Politics for young people aged 12-18. If you have a Politics lesson or week and would like us to come and speak about our work with Youth Parliament and give an overview of UK Politics we are able to come into schools and deliver a lesson or assembly with your young people. Again this is free of charge to schools but will be subject to our availability.

If you’d like to get us into do some work within your school click the link below and email Simon Bailey the details of your event and he will get in touch to confirm availability, etc.
