Shefford Youth Project
Shefford Town Council continues to work in partnership with Grand Union Housing. In the last 6 months the Council has made significant moves in enabling young people to be a part of our valued community. We have invested in qualified and trainee youth workers and now have a range of free to access activities for ages 7 to 19.
We are delivering a range of interventions with partners around any related youth nuisance. We are also working on emerging youth activities, taking place at the newly refurbished STMA and continuing the successful take over of the Hive every other Tuesday from 5pm to 7.45pm
With our small team and growing town we are building a structure that will provide regular things to do for our young people. We are always looking for volunteers to support what we do, so please get in touch if you would like to be involved. We have mobilised a small group of young people who voice the issues in the town to Central Bedfordshire Council. This is just another part of the Youth Involvement we are trying to build.
From mentoring to working on the streets we aim to make aware to young people and parents the creative approach to Youth Work in this town. Watch out for upcoming projects Techmaniacs and refreshed Shefford Youth Council.
