The results are in. Across Central Bedfordshire Young People have been voting for who they want to represent them in Youth Parliament.
It has been a great campaign with over 2,000 of you casting your vote for your candidates and we are pleased to announce the new Youth Parliament for 2018/19. You can view all the successful candidates in the "Youth Parliament - Meet the Candidate" section on our website.
We would like to say a huge well done to all the young people that applied for Youth Parliament - the standard of the candidates this year was very impressive! Unfortunately, we have a limited number of spaces and therefore some people were unsuccessful. However, your opportunty to shape and change your community doesn't end there, there are plenty of other opportunities for you to voice your opinions (check out the "Youth Central" section on the website).
Congratulations to the successful candidates! You should be proud of your achievement and we look forward to meeting you at our first meeting of this Youth Parliament in March. We are very excited to start working on campaigns with you and believe that you have the potential to make some big changes in your term at Youth Parliament!
Thank-you to everyone involved in making the elections a success. To the candidates who were brave enough to put themselves forward and, in some instances, campaign to win the vote in their school. To the schools who got involved and supported the candidates to run their campaigns within the school. And of course to all the young people that voted!
If you weren't given the opportunity to stand for Youth Parliament this year we are very sorry, however, there are other ways that you can get involved to voice the opinions of young people (see the "Youth Central" section on the website). Please feel free to contact us directly if you would like to get involved.
